Calathea is a deciduous deciduous plant of the Maranta family from the rainforests of Central and South America.
1. Lighting and placement ..
The plant does not like direct sunlight. Scattered lighting is optimal. Stands on the west or east side.
2. Temperature mode.
Optimal 18 - 24 Cº. Does not like sharp temperature fluctuations and two faces.
3. Moisture and watering ..
The plant needs high humidity, which is achieved by moisturizing the room and spraying water daily for the plant. (But water can not be sprayed on species with leafy leaves). Watering regularly and abundantly. We should not dry the soil nor should a lot of water stand in the pot.
4. Fertilizer.
Fertilizer is given from April to August, every 14 days need mineral fertilizer for ornamental-deciduous plants.
